SAND & SKY | Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment

Good skin starts with a dedicated skincare routine, that is why I make it my weekly mission to stick to mine. One of the things I like to do two to three times a week is exfoliate my skin that is why I decided to dedicate today's post to one of my favorite exfoliating products, Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment. 

SAND & SKY Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment is an exfoliating and revitalizing face scrub that is ideal for those with oily, combination or normal skin and for those who's skin concerns consist of acne, blemishes, pores, or oiliness. Made with a blend of Australian botanicals and pink clay; this treatment promises to not only exfoliate dead skin off your face but to also de-gunk and tighten the pores leaving you with a subtle glow and baby soft skin.

Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment has a very cute but at the same time simple packaging, it comes housed in a pink plastic tube with a flip-top lid. The treatment itself has a light scent of clay but contains no synthetic fragrance so it would be a good option for those who are sensitive to fragrance in their skincare products. It has a fairly thick consistency, brownish-pink in color, and a very gritty texture.

I currently use this product one to two times a week. On days where my skin requires a bit more of a thorough exfoliation, I like to apply this product to dry skin, gently massage it in for about 30 seconds and leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. For more mild exfoliation, I follow the same routine but instead of applying the product to dry skin I apply it to damp skin instead. If you have sensitive skin, it is recommended that you do not massage the product it at all but simply apply it, leave it on for 5 minutes and rinse it off.

Out of all the exfoliating products that I have tried so far in my lifetime, this one is by far the most gentle and the most effective. Unlike other exfoliating products, which tend to feel like rubbing sandpaper on your face, this one provides a very thorough exfoliation without feeling harsh on the skin. I did not feel any tightening or stinging while using this treatment, which was quite surprising since this is a clay-based product. This treatment also did not leave my skin feeling dry after it was removed, it actually left my skin feeling extremely soft and glowy. Large pores is one of my biggest concerns when it comes to my face and I felt like this treatment did very well in terms of cleaning out all the gunk out of the pores, which made them appear much smaller and more refined. Price-wise, Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment is a little bit on the high end but I find it to be worth the splurge because of how gently it is and how well it works. I also like the fact that this treatment is part of the Clean at Sephora program meaning that this product is formulated without 50 plus ingredients, including parabens and sulfates.
