Last-Minutes Halloween Makeup Ideas

October 30, 2016

Halloween is just around the corner, have you already picked out your costume? If not, here are two simple last-minute Halloween makeup ideas that are super easy to re-create.

A cat is a very easy look to pull off as well as to create. This basic makeup look took me no more than 15 minutes to put together, and the great part is that I did not need to purchases any addition items to create it!

Start off the cat look with your basic makeup routine. For this step I used Lock-It Tattoo Foundation in LIGHT44 by Kat Von D as the base, Stick Foundation in PORCELAIN and FAWN by Anastasia Beverly Hills to contour and highlight, Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer by Too Faced to add warm to my face, Translucent Loose Powder by Laura Mercier to set everything, and DIPBROW Pomade in MEDIUM BROWN by Anastasia Beverly Hills to fill in the brows.

Depending how much time you have, you can make your eye makeup as simple or as dramatic as you would like to. As for me I kept it pretty simple. I started out by applying FAITH (warm brown) from NAKED Ultimate Basics by Urban Decay all over my lid and then drawing on a semi-dramatic cat eye using Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow by MAKE UP FOR EVER. I finished off the eye makeup look with some Better Than Sex Mascara by Too Faced and a dramatic pair of BOUDOIR lashes by House of Lashes.

The last and very important part in creating the cat look is drawing on some cat whiskers and nose. I recommend using a long wearing gel eyeliner for this part, but feel free to use whatever you like or have available. As for me, I used the Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow by MAKE UP FOR EVER to draw on all the cat features for my cat look. Finish off your cat look with a pair of cat ears, if you have some available.

The skeleton is another super easy makeup look to create. This look did take me a little bit longer to complete, but I had fun doing it!

Start off the look by applying foundation all over the face and filling in them browns. For the base, I used Lock-It Foundation in LIGHT44 by Kat Von D and DIPBROW Pomade in MEDIUM BROWN by Anastasia Beverly Hills to fill in the brows.

Now to create hollow effects on your face without the traditional black and white paint use your favorite dark brown and black eyeshadows. For the eyes, I used a combination of EXTRA BITTER, LOCKOUT and BLACKJACK from the NAKED Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette by Urban Decay. For my face, I used a combination of BLACKJACK from the NAKED Ultimate Basics and MEDIUM COCOA and DARK COCOA from Cocoa Contour by Too Faced.

Finish off the look by drawing on a nose and teeth. For this part, I used Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow by MAKE UP FOR EVER. Add any additional touch-up needed to perfect your look and ta-da you are done.

Happy Halloween, everybody!
